Hailing from Dublin, Donegal and Galway respectively, the trio consisting of Lara Minchin (guitar, vocals), Lachlann Ó Fionnáin (bass, vocals) and Naoise Jordan Cavanagh (drums) possess an innate understanding of one another:  “We are three feens with guitars and drums. The Line of Best Fit

"There’s a sense of urgency, a need to speak that’s been growing with each release. A hot punk nucleus glows at the centre of their every statement"

UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH

9:30PM

Formed in 1993 in Oxford, England, Unbelievable Truth quickly emerged as a prominent force in the vibrant 90s British indie music scene. The band showcased a distinctive musical identity characterised by poetic, evocative lyrics and powerful melodies.

The band craft a sound that blended lush, atmospheric instrumentation with raw emotional weight. Their 1998 debut album, Almost Here, showcased a brooding elegance, drawing comparisons to bands like Jeff Buckley and Travis, yet retaining a distinctive, understated charm. The band have now reformed and playing a special free show here as part of Unfest!

Expect hauntingly melancholic soundscapes with a deeply introspective edge.

SUNDAY 25TH MAY

FROST

6:30PM

Exploring the intersection between live drumming and experimental electronic music.  Using an interconnected setup of drum kit, sampler, and delay/looping devices, his live set explores fractured polyrhythms, displaced beats, and glitched loops. Drawing inspiration equally from electronica, post-rock, and jazz, the focus is on expanding a unique rhythmic vocabulary, blending the synthetic with the organic, and pushing the boundaries of live electronic performance from behind a drum kit.

SOPHIE SIROTA

7:30PM

Classically trained violist, singer, and composer Sophie Sirota blends emotive string work with modern electronics to craft deeply immersive soundscapes. Known for her looping pedal wizardry and textural depth, Sophie has worked with artists from Kim Deal to Paul Weller, and her recent contribution to Coastal Electronauts Vol. 1 was praised by Electronic Sound as "an elegant requiem for looped strings that swells like the incoming tide,".  Moving, expansive, and always innovative.

THE ORGAN GRINDERS MONKEY

8:30PM

Playful, unpredictable instrumentals using guitar, laptop, and an assortment of controllers and effects. Chiming loops give way to glitchy detours, pop hooks collide with amen breaks. Beats get twisted, songs shift form mid-flow, and guitar lines trigger chaos with surgical precision. Think Cornelius meets a DIY live-coding set—clever, curious, and brimming with imagination.

ENSEMBLE 1

9:30PM

A force of sonic extremity without relying on heaviness, Ensemble 1 crafts futuristic, crystalline soundscapes polished to a blinding sheen. Their music evokes immaculate architectures and militaristic precision, like quantum computers executing terrifying beauty. At once seductive and lethal, they are clinical, controlled chaos in audio form.

BIG TRUCK

10:15PM

Big Truck is the new musical offering by Tunbridge Wells alumni Don Bird (Ladybird), Laurie Vincent (Soft Play) and completing the trio is the mystic Asa Thallon. Don and Laurie have a friendship spanning 15 plus years and this is the first time they collaborate on a musical project.  Spiralling guitar and bass melodies are underpinned by heavy drum chops and vocals flitting from poetic spoken word right up to guttural shrieks. Set to record their debut LP in August this year, Big truck are stepping out onto the live circuit to cut their teeth. Influences span from Fugazi, Breeders, Graham Coxon, The Cribs, George Harrison to Yuck. Big Truck live are a spiralling, hypnotic, frenetic meditation to raise the collective consciousness.
